The rooms and the table. Every one of the 121 rooms is a Junior Suite of 55 to 65 m² with its own terrace, in a white building by the Tenerife-born architect Leonardo Omar that the hotel likens to a ship, its interiors drawn from the island's corals. El Rincón de Juan Carlos and San Hô, two chef's restaurants, are in the building, and the pool is on the roof.
Who it suits
Couples and adults travelling without children: the hotel is adults only, and its spa and rooftop bar admit guests from 16. It suits a stay planned around long dinners and the sun of the south-west, with La Caleta's seafront a few minutes' walk away.
What to consider
There is nothing larger than a Junior Suite here, and no children, so a family or a group wanting more space is better at The Ritz-Carlton Abama up the coast. The Costa Adeje is a built-up resort coast; Teide is 40 km away by the hotel's figure, and La Laguna and Anaga the length of the island. We confirm the hotel's age policy with it when we book.
02The hotel
The hotel and its rooms
Royal Hideaway Corales Beach stands above La Enramada beach at the northern
end of the Costa Adeje, next to the old fishing village of La Caleta. The
Tenerife architect Leonardo Omar drew it to look like a ship, its white
floors stacked and curved, with interiors that take their shapes and colours
from the island’s corals. It is one of the two hotels of the Royal Hideaway
Corales resort, and it is adults only: 121 Junior Suites, each with a
terrace, two chef’s restaurants in the building and a pool on the roof.
Rooms and suites
All 121 rooms are Junior Suites, from 55 to 65 m², each with a sitting
area and its own terrace; the categories differ in the outlook and in
whether the terrace has a hot tub. The Junior Suite Sea Front View and
the Sea Front Panoramic View look straight out to sea from a 20 m²
terrace, the panoramic ones through larger windows. The Junior Suite
with Outdoor Hot Tub has a 22 m² terrace with a hydromassage tub, and
the Ocean Front View with hot tub puts the tub on a terrace facing the
sea. A Junior Suite for Single Use is the same room for one guest.
Tell us when you enquire which outlook matters and whether you want the
tub, and we confirm the category with the hotel for your dates before
anything is booked. Rooms adapted for reduced mobility are arranged with
the hotel on request, subject to availability; the public areas are
adapted throughout, in the hotel’s words.
On the practical side: Tenerife South airport is 23 km away by the
hotel’s figure, and we arrange the transfer. The hotel has indoor parking
for a charge, and pets are not accepted.

Eating and drinking
El Rincón de Juan Carlos is the restaurant of the Padrón brothers,
Juan Carlos and Jonathan, from Tenerife: a tasting menu of island and
imported produce, served in a room 40 metres above the ocean, with
María José and Raquel running the floor and the cellar. San Hô is
Adrián Bosch’s restaurant, cooking that starts from Canarian produce and
travels, in a room of wood and stone with a terrace over the garden and
the sea and a cellar of small Canary producers. NAO serves the
half-board dinners, a cold buffet with live cooking and themed evenings,
indoors or on its terrace over the Atlantic and La Caleta; Pool Bar
Nao mixes cocktails from Canary Islands ingredients, and Royal Heaven
Maresía is the bar on the roof. More restaurants — Il Bocconcino,
Starfish and La Trattoria — are a short walk away in the resort’s other
hotel, Royal Hideaway Corales Suites. We reserve the tables with the room.
03Location
Where Corales Beach is
Royal Hideaway Corales Beach stands on the Avenida Virgen de Guadalupe
above La Enramada beach, at the northern end of the Costa Adeje and
next to La Caleta, the old fishing village with its seafront
restaurants — 300 metres away, by the hotel’s figure. The map shows it
with what is around it: La Caleta to the west, Golf Costa Adeje on the
slope behind, and Playa del Duque down the coast to the south-east. The
Los Gigantes cliffs are 22 km up the coast and Teide National Park 40 km
inland, by the hotel’s figures. The Ritz-Carlton
Abama, the other Tenerife hotel we
feature, is about 9 km to the north-west at Guía de Isora. For the
island itself, see our Tenerife
page.
