What the guarantee covers
Your trip is made for you, not taken off a shelf. The guarantee covers it when it is a package trip: two or more kinds of travel service combined for one trip. Should we become insolvent, it would refund what you had paid for services not yet provided and, where your trip includes transport, bring you home.
A hotel booked on its own is not a package, and the guarantee does not cover it.
Checking the registration
Avelia Travel is in the Junta de Andalucía’s register as a travel agency: group “Minorista” (retail), modality “On line”. The Junta’s search of registered tourism businesses finds it by its code or by name.

Questions we are asked
Is this the same as travel insurance?
No. The guarantee protects you if Avelia becomes insolvent. Travel insurance covers personal risks such as illness, medical expenses, cancelling your trip and lost luggage, depending on your policy. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance from the moment you book, and ask each traveller to confirm in writing whether they have taken out cover.
What happens if I need to change or cancel my trip?
Tell us as early as you can. We will work with you to adjust your arrangements where possible, but the options, refunds and costs depend on the timing, the suppliers’ policies and the booking terms you accepted. We explain what a change means before we confirm it.
