Palacio Gran Vía occupies the former headquarters of the Rodríguez-Acosta bank, built at the beginning of the twentieth century on the Gran Vía de Colón, across the avenue from the Cathedral. The restoration kept what the bank left behind: the façade, the main staircase, a neo-Mudéjar coffered ceiling, tiled floors, frescoes, modernist ornament and the old safes.

The Deluxe rooms, of more than 22 m², look into the hotel’s inner courtyards, the quiet side of the house. The rest look out: the Deluxe Plus, of more than 22 m², onto the Gran Vía; the Deluxe with Balcony, of more than 23 m², over the city from a balcony; the Deluxe City View, of more than 24 m², onto the Gran Vía from a balcony; and the Deluxe Corner, of more than 24 m², from the corner of the building, with a balcony towards the Gran Vía and the Cathedral. Each can be made up with a double bed or two singles, on request.
The Alhambra Junior Suite, of more than 50 m², looks over the Gran Vía and has a sofa bed, which the hotel suggests for families. The Suite, of more than 60 m², joins two connecting bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area. At the top of the house, the Royal Suite is laid out the same way and adds its own terrace, with a solarium, an outdoor shower and the Alhambra in view. For families there are also 2x2 Interconnecting Rooms: two rooms of more than 22 m² with a door between them.

On the practical side: parking at the hotel is limited and charged, and there are public car parks nearby; room service runs around the clock; the hotel is adapted for guests with reduced mobility; and pets are not accepted. Federico García Lorca airport is about 18 km away and the railway station about 1.5 km, and we arrange a private transfer from either.
El Patio is the hotel’s restaurant, set in one of its grandest rooms: it takes traditional Mediterranean cooking through haute-cuisine technique, with an international turn. Miralba, the bar on the roof, pours wines and Andalusian-inspired cocktails with the Alhambra, the Cathedral and the Albaicín in view. La Sucursal Grand Café serves brunch from the menu, snacks and afternoon tea every day, with a list of artisan teas, and the Royal Breakfast is made from seasonal produce, with Arabic pastries and dishes cooked to order.
