The river and the table. It stands on the Seine at the Pont Neuf, with the Louvre a few minutes' walk away, and has four restaurants under one roof, Arnaud Donckele's Plénitude among them.
Who it suits
Couples and families who want a contemporary hotel rather than a period one, with the old city on foot; there is a club for children, Le Carrousel.
What to consider
It is a modern house, not a gilded one: Peter Marino's interiors play on the building's Art Deco rather than recreating the salons of a Right Bank grand hotel. If that is what you picture, look at Le Bristol or the Ritz.
02The hotel
The hotel and its rooms
Cheval Blanc Paris occupies La Samaritaine, the department store on the Seine
at the Pont Neuf, in the building Frantz Jourdain and Henri Sauvage designed
for the store, its steel frame faced in cream stone at the request of the
Préfecture. The architect Peter Marino designed the hotel around that Art
Deco heritage.
Rooms and suites
The rooms are all Deluxe rooms, told apart by what they look over:
the Haussmann façades, the Louvre’s colonnade (Deluxe Louvre), a side
view of the Seine (Deluxe Parisian), the city’s façades (Deluxe Pont
Neuf), or the Louvre from a private balcony (Deluxe Balcony, for two).
The Seine Junior Suites have a winter garden over the river and the
Balcony Junior Suites a balcony above it; the Seine Suite adds
separate living and dining rooms, and the Notre-Dame Suite and the
Eiffel Suite each have a private balcony facing the cathedral’s towers
or the Eiffel Tower. Every other room and suite takes up to three guests.
If a particular outlook, bed configuration or step-free access matters to
you, tell us when you enquire and we will confirm it with the hotel for your
dates before anything is booked.
At the hotel

terrace over the Seine and the Left Bank, and Langosteria is Italian.
Dinner can also be served in your room, by the hotel’s Carte Blanche team.
