The Casa Palacio Castelar has been restored to blend classical Andalusian design with contemporary comfort. Its neoclassical façade, marble staircase and central courtyard — covered by a glass dome that fills the house with natural light — remain the heart of the building, and a collection of expressionist paintings by Agustí Puig runs through the hotel.

María Luisa, the hotel’s restaurant, gives Andalusian cuisine a modern twist with seasonal ingredients. Cocktails and wines are served at Fizz Bar and the Hall Bar, and from May to October at the rooftop bar, looking out over the rooftops of El Arenal.
