01Is it for you?

Is Las Casas de la Judería right for your stay?

Why choose it
It is not one building but twenty-seven, joined together: you walk to your room through patios and passageways, and the hotel publishes more than forty patios and gardens. The rooftop pool looks across the quarter to the Giralda.
Who it suits
Couples, and families with one child under 12, drawn to traditional Sevillian houses and patios, with a Giralda view from the summer rooftop pool.
What to consider
The rooftop pool is open in the summer season only, and the spa is a paid service that needs booking in advance. One room type, the Basic Double, is 200 metres from the hotel's main building — say so when you enquire if that matters.

02The hotel

The hotel and its rooms

Las Casas de la Judería is not one building. The hotel is made of twenty-seven traditional Sevillian houses joined by passageways, with more than forty patios and gardens between them, on Calle Santa María la Blanca at the edge of the old Jewish quarter. Rooms are named after people and events connected with the houses, and the hotel says no two are the same.

On the roof there is a pool, open in the summer season, looking across the tiled roofs and belfries of the quarter to the Giralda. Below it are the salons — a piano bar among them — and the Termas de Híspalis, the hotel’s spa, with hot and cold pools, a Turkish bath and a Roman bath.

For the city around it, our Seville travel guide covers what to see and when to go, and where to stay in Seville sets out the areas with our hotels compared side by side.

Rooms and suites

The hotel publishes 134 rooms, “all different from one another”, in six types. Junior Suite with Jacuzzi and Junior Suite take two adults; the Superior Room takes two adults and a child under 12 and has a sitting area of its own; the Double Room with Hydromassage also takes a child under 12. The Individual Room is the house single — 9 m², for one, with a hydromassage bath.

Two things worth knowing before you choose. The Basic Double Room is not in the main building — the hotel states it is 200 metres away from the hotel’s main facilities. And no adapted or step-free room is published anywhere on the hotel’s site, so if that matters, tell us when you enquire and we will confirm it with the hotel for your dates before anything is booked.

On the practical side: there is valet parking 200 metres from the hotel, and pets are not allowed. The old quarter’s streets are narrow, so we arrange a transfer to the door rather than leaving you to find it.
